Thank You for a Wonderful Volunteer Appreciation Day

We had a great time this past Sunday at our Star Horses Volunteer Appreciation Day—thank you to everyone who came out and spent time with us!

Originally, we had planned a grazing day, but with the busy horse show weekend and rainy weather, we pivoted to a more relaxed volunteer lunch. We enjoyed El Pollo Loco and some absolutely delicious homemade cookies from our own Chris 🍪

With lessons canceled due to the rain, it turned into a perfect opportunity to:

• Spend time together

• Socialize and connect

• Hand walk horses and give them some extra attention

It was a meaningful and productive day for both our volunteers and our horses.

 (Moved to the third Sunday due to Mother’s Day)

As Star Horses continues to grow, we are always looking for help with:

• Tacking & untacking

• Cleaning and filling water buckets

• Hand walking horses

• Putting horses in the sunpen

• Assisting with lessons (side walkers)

• Photography & video

• Social media support

• Website updates

👉 Volunteers must be 14 or older

Many high schools require volunteer hours—this is a great way to earn them while being part of something meaningful.
